Ambassador Erciyes is a career diplomat and currently serving as Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Hellenic Republic since 1 February 2023. His previous posts were: 2023-2018 MFA Director General for Bilateral Political &Maritime-Aviation-Border Affairs - Ankara, Türkiye.

Mr. Erciyes represented Türkiye in many UN, IMO, ICAO, NATO and other international meetings on a wide range of topics including disarmament, peacekeeping, crisis management, safety and security, law of the sea and air law.

Mr. Erciyes was also lecturer between 2018-2023 on maritime boundary delimitation and law of the sea at Ankara University National Centre for the Sea and Maritime Law.
